In the south of the Costa Blanca coast in the province of Alicante is the resort of Torrevieja with a population of about 90,000 people. This city and its surroundings are one of the most popular Spanish resorts, combining recreation, cultural events, entertainment, shopping, sports.A large number of Europeans, including the Spaniards themselves, constantly come here to enjoy quality recreation and delicious food. Many of them like it here so much that they decide to move to a permanent place of residence or buy a vacation home. Therefore, since the early 2000s, there has been a constant and high demand for real estate in Torrevieja. Today, Torrevieja is a city that, due to its location, has a number of advantages compared to other cities in Spain. 2 airports, stone and sandy beaches with a blue flag, a very long high season and, most importantly, cheap property price compared to other regions of Spain.
All this has already been appreciated by both the Spaniards themselves and citizens of other countries. 40% of the population are foreigners - citizens of more than 100 countries. These are mainly Europeans, as well as guests from Asia and the American continent. The population increases several times in the summer and during major holidays.
Torrevieja is the first in terms of housing sales in the south of the Costa Blanca. Those who are interested in places with a rich historical past are unlikely to find anything particularly interesting here - until recently it was a small village where salt was mined. If in the central part and in the south in the La Veleta area you can see old buildings and traditional low-rise buildings, then in most other areas new residential complexes with a full range of modern amenities are being built at a rapid pace. In general, new buildings are distinguished by high quality construction.
The prestigious tourist areas, in the northern and southern parts of the city, in Torre La Mata and La Caleta, tend to have Torrevieja properties with higher prices, even elevated, however, the areas of the urban periphery such as El Limonar, El Chaparral and La Siesta offer a wide variety of properties at more affordable and reasonable prices.
